Community-based Learn & Play groups are available at 28 different site locations across Southwest Kansas. They provide free opportunities for families to engage in developmentally appropriate activities together. Children are screened so that appropriate educational materials can be given to their caregivers to enhance the learning at home as well as in the Learn & Play groups. Screenings are given to each child to help ensure that adequate developmental growth is occurring, and that each child is gaining cognitive, motor, and social-emotional skills. Learn & Play facilitators are also available to help caregivers in closing the gaps in areas that the child needs more practice in.
